Chevy Impala 327

Happy Holidays to all who celebrate!

Snow always gives me a reason to reshoot things I’ve shot in the past—buildings, cars, views, you name it. Just about everything looks different with a few inches of snow on the ground.

I believe this is a fourth-generation Chevy Impala 327. I’d like to think it came off the line at the Flint Assembly plant, but I didn’t investigate enough to be certain. I shot this car twice—once in the fall and once after fresh snow, pictured here. It disappeared later that winter.

I haven’t been able to edit any photos I shot in the most recent snowstorm yet—this one is from one of the many long walks I took during the pandemic winter.

I’ve got a ton of photos I never did anything with from that era, most of which I shot on film. I’ve got plans for them eventually, but that’s a conversation for a different day.

Stay safe, Detroit!
