Fisher Body Blues

from 25.00

Fisher Body Plant #21 is forever engrained in the exploring culture of Detroit. I used to say it was the starter pack for 'urban explorers,' and this was confirmed one night when I stumbled upon 40+ photographers inside the structure's Albert Kahn designed walls. It became somewhat of a joke between myself and some friends, whenever we didn't really know what we wanted to explore that day, we would say we had the 'Fisher Body Blues.' Meaning we didn't have anything better to do, so we would go mess around at Fisher. I was told a year or so after I took this photo by a man who used to work at the plant that the windows were tinted blue because the architect believed the ambient light would make the workers happier. I can't confirm this, but hell, anything's possible inside this building. More information listed below!
