Beacon of Belle Isle

from 20.00

I have always loved lighthouses. I spent a number of summers on the west side of Michigan with my grandparents, and their town had a lighthouse. Even then, before I was into photography, I found them fascinatingly beautiful. This lighthouse is on Belle Isle in Detroit, and was named after William Livingstone. He was the president of the Lake Carriers Association from 1909 until 1925, was the president of the Dime Bank, and owner of the Detroit Evening Journal. More information listed below!
